About me

Hello, I’m Daniel Vega-Araya, an Informatics Engineer and a Phd. student at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile at the Industrial and System Department.

My interest centers on hard computational problems (NP class) and their tractability using both exact and approximate methods. During my doctoral studies, I have specialized in topics related to the field of optimization, including Stochastic Optimization, Dynamic Optimization, and Integer Programming. Additionally, I have expanded my knowledge of computational complexity, with a focus on establishing a solid foundation to support my research development.

Currently, I am under the guidance of a PhD. Víctor Verdugo and PhD. Gustavo Angulo, whose expertise has been instrumental in my doctorate.
